Bikram Yoga

Bikram yoga refers to the 26 postures sequence that were selected and developed by Bikram Choudhury from Hatha Yoga. These 26 unique postures attempt to systematically stretch every part of the body – from your veins to your vital organs. If this sounds a little intense, then The Bikram Yoga studio on Anastasia Blvd has instructors ready to help you get stretching. Bikram offers drop-in classes, or a 10-class package for the full yoga experience. There’s also massage services offered at Bikram for those who have found physical activity elsewhere, and are just looking for a relaxing stretch of the muscles. They also offer raindrop therapy, rolfing, biomat, deep tissue massages, cupping and hot stones as alternative methods.

The Yoga Room

The Yoga Room in St. Augustine specializes in yoga, barre, and pilates. They focus on small classes with personal attention and top instructors. There’s a “flow and stretch” class that is perfect for all levels of experience, and a similar “vinyasa flow” class. Additionally, the Yoga Room has classes for barre and mat pilates.

Those who attend the barre class can expect upbeat music, high energy and lots of sweating. This relatively new technique combines yoga, contemporary pilates, and ballet. The workouts are intended to condition your body, while lengthening and strengthening your tone. All levels are welcome for barre classes, and those interested should call ahead to reserve a spot.
