This exclusive tour allows access to parts of the Historic Light Station not available with regular admission. This includes a visit to the maritime archaeology artifact conservation lab, where visitors will see conservators working with shipwreck artifacts that have been recovered from the ocean floor. There is also a guided tour through the Keepers’ House museum.
You’ll also have the opportunity to climb the lighthouse and enjoy the view from 140 feet above ground!

Celebrate the official plant of St. Johns County!
The Datil Pepper Festival is a celebration of culture, tradition, flavor, and heat. Explore the unique heritage of Saint Augustine’s most identifiable fruit. Private and commercial chefs compete for professional and People’s choice awards by presenting dishes using the datil pepper. Tasting runs from 11am-1pm.

In honor of National Public Lands Day, the National Park Service is offering free admission to the Castillo de San Marcos this Saturday, September 28th. Built by the Spanish military between 1672 and 1692, it is the oldest masonry fortification in the United States.
DID YOU KNOW? The Castillo de San Marcos was used for military purposes during WWII. The Coast Guard utilized the fort for training exercises and ceremonies throughout the war years.
The Castillo de San Marcos is located on Avenida Menendez, overlooking Matanzas Bay in historic downtown St. Augustine.
